Navigation complexity in large shopping malls is a classic barrier that directly affects customer experience and, consequently, tenant sales. In the current market, this has become a critical issue. Our solution was the development of an interactive 2D/3D navigation system that ensures the fastest possible orientation: 2D for a quick view of familiar locations, and 3D/360 for detailed visual comparison with reality, which is essential for first-time visitors.

The Aestar system is based on the Win-Win-Win principle: visitors save time and orient easily; tenants are guaranteed an increase in customer flow, which is stimulated by the ability to place promotions and special offers directly on the main map screen, in the store’s card, or by positioning in the top category. This allows for direct encouragement of customers towards a purchase. And the mall’s management gains the ability to lease previously non-liquid spaces, which can now be prominently marked and navigated to on the map, as well as invaluable deep analytics of customer behavior.

The system’s UX design focused on the “Quick Search” and “First-Time Visitor” scenarios, providing simple search logic and location categorization. The main value for the mall lies in improving the image as an innovative center, obtaining analytical data for strategy adaptation, and retaining existing tenants. The solution is fully personalized to the specific needs of any mall.
