Aestar developed ENTAL 3D VIEWER, a professional HealthTech solution that bridges the gap between complex dental software and browser accessibility. The main challenge was the high cost and hardware requirements of traditional CAD software. We created a “CAD-quality in browser” experience, allowing doctors and technicians to work with STL and PLY files on any device, including tablets and smartphones, without installing heavy applications.

By implementing Babylon.js and PBR (Physically Based Rendering), we achieved photorealistic textures of tooth enamel and gums. The integration of SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion) ensures soft shadowing in fissures and interdental spaces, which is vital for anatomical assessment. Unlike standard web viewers, Aestar’s solution ensures the model is not centered automatically, preserving absolute 3D coordinates for precise medical diagnostics and bite analysis.

The viewer is designed as a microservice, allowing seamless iframe integration into any CRM, scheduling system, or platforms like Bubble.io. Leveraging 3D configurators and cloud storage on AWS S3, we provided a fast, scalable, and secure environment for heavy medical data. This project by Aestar demonstrates how AR/VR visualization standards can revolutionize the dental industry, enhancing both diagnostic precision and patient trust.
